MAGIX Music Maker Editor's Review
Imagine a person that loves music but has no experience in creating it. What if that person will be able to create music with the help of an intelligent software that requires no artistic skills other than his/her own passion for sounds and beats? Following this philosophy, the MAGIX company released the latest Music Maker, a bundle software that offers pre-made sounds, loops, and effects suitable for any kind of musical style. In this way you can create your own music by combining all these musical elements in thousands of combinations.
For all the music lovers and Windows users, MAGIX Music Maker is the substitute to the popular Mac application GarageBand. It may not be so popular, because is quite new on the market, but it works in the same way as its opponent. Simply combine audio building blocks (more than 1,500 to choose from) onto 64 audio tracks (available in the Standard version or 96 available in the Premium version), add effects & samples, play real instruments via MIDI and even record your own instruments in order to create a unique composition.
Thanks to the Media eXchange module, you can easily share your work between other MAGIX products. In case you want to add your sound to a video, and this video has been edited with MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, you can import it into Music Maker so that you can add the additional audio layer. You may also want to enhance your recording session. Just export the recording to the MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab application, perform the operations and import it back to your music project in Music Maker.
MAGIX Music Maker comes in two versions: Standard and Premium. While the Standard version offers a huge amount of features, the Premium version comes with even more: 96 audio tracks, wider range of effects and instruments, enhanced drum machine, analog compressor and a complete synthesizer to help you more in the process of composition. In the Premium version you can also work with 5.1 surround sound and a mastering module will help your own CD’s production.
Pluses: huge amount of sound collection, complete collection of instruments, easy to learn, advanced drum machine, analog synthesizer;
Drawbacks/flaws: lacks mastering module;
In conclusion: A must have program for any music lover that wants to create his own tracks.
